About Better Stewards

Better Stewards is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Milwaukee, WI. Our mission is to educate and empower the community by providing tools and resources to help build a better financial future. Our foundational course helps our students shift their mindset and remove barriers that causes a strain on their mental and financial health. Students are guided every step of the way to achieve the goals they once thought were impossible. As we set the foundation, we use our financial partners to be one of the building blocks to help our students take their finances to new heights! Financial literacy is lacking across the nation. Under-served communities in particular lack access to financial services and the opportunity to be educated in the public school system. This causes a huge impact in society with high crime rates, distressed neighborhoods and constrains the ability for people to live a financially secure life. This cycle continues from generation to generation, so we are here to bridge the gap! Education and awareness are at the core of helping our under-served communities to make smart and effective financial decisions. Our Curriculum focuses on establishing budgets, using credit responsibly, with an ultimate goal of increasing home ownership and building generational wealth. We are passionate about bringing financial education and resources to end the cycle of poverty and you can contribute to that!
