About Between Nurses Foundation
A non-profit foundation supporting nurses was established By Nurses, For Nurses, Between Nurses. Dr. Paula V. Williams (a Nurse Educator) had a dream of providing benefits to nurses so that they can feel appreciated. Currently, our country is facing a critical shortage of nurses. The aging population is putting a tremendous strain on nurses, and there are not enough youngsters considering entering the profession to make a difference. This means that nurses in patient care are working long, tedious hours, dealing with the stresses of sickness and dying, and grieving family members. Nurses are unselfishly dedicated to their profession, and Between Nurses Foundation believes that they must ‘pause’ to allow themselves to experience a sense of appreciation.
