About Beverley Grammar School
Beverley Grammar School was founded in 700 AD and enjoys the history and tradition of being the oldest state school in the country. As an 11 to 18 boys’ comprehensive school, recently graded outstanding by Ofsted, we share a joint sixth form with the neighbouring girls’ school - Beverley High. We strive to deliver a curriculum that fulfils the needs of our students, enabling successful progression to our sixth form or other Post 16 opportunities. Our straightforward aims were derived out of sessions conducted with staff and representatives of student voice. We then ensured that as we built our school development plan that it was consistent in helping us deliver these aims. Our aims are for students to: Have the ambition and confidence to achieve their dreams Act with self-awareness, empathy and tolerance Have the independence and resilience to overcome barriers.
