About bfffBerlin (black filmmakers film festival)

The non profit organization Black Filmmakers Film Festival e.V. (BFFF e.V.) Germany was founded with the objective to expand the activities of our partner organization in Cape Town/South Africa (https://blackfff.co.za/home) in Germany and Europe. Co-founder and associate director is the award-winning filmmaker Dagogo Diminas. The bfffBerlin e.V. connects and showcases artists of colour from across the African continent and black diaspora through a series of events and workshops in the field of film and media. Through our various events, we seek to establish ourself as a principal port of call for aspiring black creatives, empowering them to realize their ideas in a supportive environment marked by mutual assistance and purposeful collaboration. In Berlin we are preparing to host a digital film festival, a monthly jour fixe, a weekly episode for our youtube channel format bfffCONNECTS, e-learning workshops/seminars, panels and a support group for upcoming film projects of our members.
