About BGC Kawarthas (formerly Boys and Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes)
BGC Kawarthas (formerly Boys and Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes) is a registered non-profit charitable organization devoted to serving 4,000 children and youth throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough annually. Since 1970, we have offered programs and services that build skills and character and foster self-esteem. Club staff are supported by over 150 volunteers. The Club is a community builder that works in partnerships with others to support then needs in the community. The Club removes financial barriers by keeping program costs affordable and subsidizing programs for families who cannot afford to pay. The Lindsay facility is 68,000 square feet and features a gym, craft room, indoor skate park, climbing wall, high ropes and computer lab, drama theatre, child care centre, youth centre, outdoor play climbers and much more!
