BHF Environmental Ltd is a Geophysical Consultancy whose primary function is to undertake electrical leak location surveys (ELLS) to locate perforating damage to geomembranes. Information on our services can be found at www.bhf.sk The geoelectrical leak detection survey is the most practical method of testing of plastic geomembranes for any perforating damage after the geomembranes are installed on site. The method provides a cost effective tool to Construction Quality Assurance, helps to protect the environment as well as to save money. A typical application of the method is the testing of soil-covered geomembranes (landfill liners), however, it is also suitable for other geomembrane applications such as lagoons, reservoirs, canals, etc. Established in 1994, BHF Environmental Ltd is one of the very few companies worldwide having extensive experience of both walkover leak location surveys and built-in monitoring systems. Most companies offering these services specialise in one or other system. To date BHF have completed over 500 surveys in 26 countries (Australia, Belgium, Belize, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Iran, Ireland, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, Mauritius, Norway, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain and the U.K) with over 5 000 000 sq. metres of liner surveyed or monitored. Permanent monitoring systems are installed at two hundred sites in the Australia, Belgium, Croatia, Hungary, Mauritius, Poland, Slovakia, Oman, Serbia, South Korea and the U.K.
