About Bia Lover
Every June, Bia Lover transforms the medieval town of Athenry into a haven for food lovers. This West of Ireland town plays host to some of the best artisan foods producers that Ireland has to offer. Bia Lover's core event is a Producer’s Market where up to 70 artisan producers showcase and sell their goods. This is located in the centre of Athenry beside the Clarin River and with the beautifully restored Athenry Castle as a backdrop. Cookery demonstrations featuring local produce and cook-off competitions will add to the experience, while musicians, artists, stilt walkers and face painters will help keep the young (and the young at heart) entertained.
