We believe inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. Supported by donors and volunteers, Big Brothers Big Sisters develops positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people. We make meaningful, monitored matches between adult and high school volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 5 through 14, in schools and communities across Knox, Lincoln, Penobscot and Waldo counties. OUR MISSION Our mission is to provide children in Knox, Lincoln, Penobscot and Waldo Counties facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported 1-to-1 relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.
