ABOUT US At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westchester (BBBS), we are dedicated to helping children realize their full potential through professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships. Since 1958, we have been fostering meaningful connections between adult volunteers (our "Bigs") and children (our "Littles"), positively impacting and changing lives. OUR HISTORY With over a century of experience, Big Brothers Big Sisters originated in New York City and has grown to become the oldest and largest youth mentoring program in the United States. Our program matches caring volunteers with children in one-to-one mentoring relationships. Today, there are nearly 400 Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies across the country, boasting a volunteer base of over 275,000 dedicated Bigs. BECOME A BIG As the country's largest mentoring program, your involvement as a volunteer will undoubtedly create a significant and meaningful impact on a child's life. By dedicating just four hours a month to meet with your mentee ("Little"), you can make a lasting difference. Depending on the program, you will meet your Little at their school, your workplace, or within the community. We are actively seeking male volunteers to match with the large waitlist of male mentees in Westchester County, but volunteers of all genders are welcome.
