Whitewater rafting in the Smoky Mountains! Big Creek Expeditions, Inc. is a whitewater rafting company surrounded by Pisgah, Cherokee, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Forests. Resting on the edge of the Pigeon River, we are just 45 minutes or less from Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville TN, and only an hour drive from Asheville, NC. We specialize in professionally guided trips, beautiful mountain surroundings, and memories that will last a lifetime. Furthermore, we are not shy about boasting one of the most experienced and well trained staff of guides on the river. We offer two different rafting trips; the Upper is a thrilling ride through class III and IV rapids for ages 8 and up (or 70+ pounds), while the Lower is a scenic float trip for ages 3 and up.
