About Big Data & Analytics Association
The Big Data & Analytics Association (BDAA) was founded at The Ohio State University in 2014. It is the only undergraduate student organization of its kind, prioritizing the education of its members above all else. Weekly BDAA meetings are host to a variety of insightful events, including hands-on workshops in which we teach our members valuable skills they may not get to learn in class, tech-talks in which industry professionals teach our members about the hottest topics in data analytics, and case competitions in which members put the skills they have acquired to the test. Our mission is simple: inspire students to think analytically and empower them through hands on training, all while connecting them to potential employers. To achieve these goals, BDAA aims to become the central communication point from students across disciplines to faculty and professionals in the Data Analytics field. Winner of the 2016 Innovation and Change Award; the 2017 Outstanding Student Organization, Innovation and Change, and Excellence in Operations Awards; the 2018 Spirit of OSU and Partnership in Industry Award; the 2019 Overall Outstanding Student Organization Award; and the 2025 Student Organization Excellence in Membership Award, BDAA is truly Ohio State's central hub for involvement in data analytics
