Membership is also open to your family members. Why the term “Member”? Billings Federal is a not-for-profit financial cooperative. As a cooperative, the members of the credit union, the people who use its services, own the Credit Union. Why is this important? Because Billings Federal is a not-for-profit cooperative, owned by its membership, there are no stockholders that must be paid from income. Income from operations is returned to members (the owners) in the form of lower rates on loans, competitive rates on savings, fairly priced services, and by investing in technology and products that improve service. The Board of Directors is made up of volunteers from the membership. Expect a Difference One thing that has not changed is our commitment to service and providing sound financial solutions.
