Billy’s Battalion is a registered UK charity born from unimaginable loss — and built with unstoppable purpose. In November 2023, our beautiful son Billy was diagnosed with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), an aggressive and inoperable brain cancer. He was just four years old. Fifteen days before his fifth birthday, Billy died in our arms. Like every child diagnosed with DIPG, Billy was given no chance of survival, because no child has ever survived this cancer. Treatments haven’t changed in over 60 years. Families are still told: “There’s nothing we can do.” Billy’s Battalion exists to change that. We are raising awareness, funding research, and supporting trials and treatments for DIPG and childhood brain cancer. We want to give families hope where there is currently none, and fight for the children already in this devastating queue. Billy was more than a diagnosis. He was a kind, funny, and wildly brave little boy — a real-life superhero. And he deserved more. Every child does. Join us as we fight for change in Billy’s name, and for every child like him.
