In BIMproQr we are solving the issue of cost overruns in the Construction Industry. We are focusing on Green, Sustainable Real Estate Development. Study shows that in the last 3 years 70% of projects around the world experienced significant cost overruns. BIMproQr is developing an Early Stage Procurement method that removes most of the major reasons behind cost overruns. It was developed by 5 co-founders, seasoned professionals from the industry, with domain expertise covering Real Estate Development, Engineering, Architecture, and Construction. In a nutshell, our method can execute up to 60% of procurement needs before construction starts. We focus only on strategic and design intent-related items. Our new process enables: 1) Access to a global pool of solutions and materials 2) Ability to work with specific products at the design stage 3) Delivery of much better value for money for the end-user. We are better than traditional procurement because our method can deliver currently impossible to achieve tasks like: 1) Developers obtain certainty of specifications and rates early in the process 2) Architects can involve manufacturers and tap into their expertise at the design stage 3) Manufacturers no longer need to spend money to access foreign markets This method and IT platform are designed to work with the private as well as the public sectors. We are at the stage of testing the method. We are actively looking for strategic, domain partners as well as testing partners.
