Mission Statement Binkeez for Comfort is a Guidestar Platinum-rated 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The Binkeez mission is to provide blankets to babies and children struggling to survive life-threatening illnesses, acute developmental and mental disorders and severe burns, all the while offering support to parents, siblings and caregivers. Binkeez for Comfort is a nonprofit 501c3 organization, IRS identification number 46-2172298. Donations made to Binkeez for Comfort are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Binkeez Founder, Susan R. Posterro, walked away from her 20 year career in law and the paycheck that went with it to carry forward the legacy and heart of her mother, Lynne, who has made over 40,000 blankets for children in third world counties. Binkeez for Comfort are constructed from fabrics that are lead-free, hypo allergenic, and the blankets have been independently tested to pass Consumer Safety Act Protection Laws and Government Safety Standards. Each Binkeez Blanket is hand-crafted as a conscious act of love with the intent to figuratively and literally wrap patients, and their families, with the power that unconditional love bears upon healing and survival. Binkeez for comfort are made by hand and by heart. This conscious act of Loving Forward underlies the Binkeez for Comfort project, which currently supports patients in the leading children’s hospitals in the United States of America. While Susan's intent was always to promote an experience of healing and survival through the Binkeez for Comfort project, hospitals are taking note of the clinical benefits of Binkeez to improve outcomes among patients, and their families.
