About BioCell Analytica
BioCell Analytica utför biologiska analyser för att upptäcka hälsofarliga kemikalier i vatten. Metoderna är resultatet av forskning vid Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet. Biocell Analytica erbjuder analysmetoder för att upptäcka kemiska föroreningar i miljön, t.ex. i dricksvatten, avloppsvatten, ytvatten, jord, sediment och livsmedel. ___________________________________________________ BioCell Analytica offers effect-based methods to detect hazardous compounds in water and solid matrices. The great strength with effect-based methods is the possibility to detect and quantify effects of all hazardous compounds in a sample, instead of focusing on concentrations of a few selected compounds, which is done with chemical analyses. The generated knowledge contributes to our understanding of how human health and the environment are affected by all the chemicals we are exposed to simultaneously, the so-called cocktail effect. This new strategy to monitor chemical hazards in water has been developed and applied in multiple research projects, where we have collaborated with drinking water and wastewater treatment plants. BioCell Analytica’s methods can be used to detect chemical contaminants in the environment, e.g. in drinking water, wastewater, surface water, storm water, sludge, sediment and soil.
