About Biochem

Born in 1978 as biochemical research centre , the company directs its main activity in depth study of dairy sector and in particular in the production and marketing of lactic ferments and enzymes. Thanks to its two production plants and logistic administrative plant , today the company is able to isolate, select and produce freeze-dried and frozen starters distributing them to dairies, sausage factories and farmers all over the world. The plant located in Birori (NU) and the plant located in Montelibretti (Rm) have the activity of research and development, insulation, production and packaging of starter cultures and enzymes both in lyophilized that in deep frozen form. All the production lines have now been automated to minimize variations between different production batches and to obtain a more and more standard and quality product. The use of industrial automation, thanks to the collaboration of world leaders in biotechnological production processes, has meant that the company can provide not only quality products but also a competitive price on the market. At today the company boasts three complete fermentation, concentration and lyophilization lines that allow the development and production of different products on different scales. Constant and careful monitoring of production processes is the basis of our quality. Every single batch of production and its raw materials are checked for acidifying power and for chemical charcateristics , physical and microbiological characteristics, ensuring to the customer constancy in the different batch produced. All production lines have been automated to minimize variations in process parameters thanks to continuous monitoring even remotely. All the production lines are in compliants with the European amendments and the production plants and also our products are certified BRC IFS and Halal.
