About BioCryst Pharma Deutschland

Wir bei BioCryst haben uns der Bekämpfung seltener und schwerer Krankheiten angenommen. Unser Ziel ist es, Menschen mit Erkrankungen wie beispielsweise dem Hereditären Angioödem (HAE) ein nahezu normales Leben zu ermöglichen. Um dieses Ziel zu erreichen, entwickeln wir neuartige Therapeutika, welche die Ausprägung der Erkrankung beeinflussen. Unsere Medikamentenentwicklung ist an der Zielstruktur ausgerichtet. Das heißt: Unsere hochspezialisierten Wissenschaftler/-innen forschen an mehreren Standorten auf der ganzen Welt gezielt an Inhaltsstoffen, die selektiv an Enzyme binden, welche an der Entstehung von seltenen Erkrankungen beteiligt sind. Wir fokussieren uns also auf ein Zielmolekül und entwickeln passende Moleküle, welche sich an das aktive Zentrum des Zielmoleküls binden. Unsere Bestrebungen gehen in Richtung einer langfristigen Krankheitskontrolle für unsere Patient/-innen.
