About Biokinetics Association of the United Kingdom
The Biokinetics Association of the United Kingdom is a body of health care professionals seeking registration under the UK government (CIC). We unite biokineticists with respect and integrity, by providing an interactive platform for promotion, communication, and education among local practitioners and the community. Qualification and practical experience: Biokineticists are degreed practitioners. To qualify as a biokineticist one must complete a 3-year undergraduate university degree, a postgraduate Honours degree (inclusive of practical clinical rotations), and an additional year of full-time internship. Our ethical and professional promise: All biokineticists registered under the Biokinetics Association of the United Kingdom are screened for authentic qualifications, comprehensive insurance, and relevant first aid certification. Our Mission: The Biokinetics Association of the United Kingdom aspires to advocate, raise awareness, and develop biokinetics in the United Kingdom. Our members aim to uphold the professional standards of biokinetics whilst employing respect, dignity, honesty, and integrity to their patients throughout their treatment. Our goals: The Biokinetics Association of the United Kingdom aims: 1) To become a recognized body registered under the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC). 2) To develop well-established relationships with international biokineticists. 3) To develop undergraduate and postgraduate university courses to be incorporated into the current curriculum at local universities. 4) To develop an internship program with local biokinetics practices.
