About Biolink Brain Training

Biolink Brain Training was born out of desperation and helplessness when my sister's oldest son was diagnosed first with ADHD and then Autism in Grade 1. As a teacher, she knew that lack of concentration would not be his only challenge. He was going to face cognitive and Executive Function skills challenges, like planning, organisation, critical thinking, memory, etc. They knew medication was not the only option because it only treats the symptoms. Her husband, Deon, is a Professor in chemistry, and he started researching what alternative treatments were available that had scientific proof and lasting results. He came across Play Attention, and after months of research, purchased the program. Her son started on the program, and six months later, the paediatrician, without knowing about the program, lowered his dosage. One year later, he stopped his medication. At that point, she realised she can help more parents because she knew how alone and desperate you feel. In 2008, the first Biolink Brain Training Centre opened its doors in her garage. I joined the company in 2012. Today, we have Biolink Brain Training centres in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Canada and the USA. A few years later, we opened The Study Method Hub. At The Study Method Hub, we give children the tools to practise executive function skills practically and teach them study skills and techniques. Our core age group for skills development at The Study Method Hub is between 8 and 14 years old. We believe that parent and teacher involvement plays a fundamental role in a child’s development. We also ensure that the child understands why they are enrolled in the program. Their understanding of the program is important for cooperation and keeps them motivated. Because they understand what each cognitive exercise develops, they feel included in the goal and not like a “problem child“. In 2017 we won the BEFA award for Best Female Entrepreneur and launched the FOCUS CTP tes in Washington DC.
