Known for working with the world’s top athletes, Sports Podiatrists Emily Smith and Trent Salkavich have teamed up with other highly skilled health practitioners including pelvic health physio, massage therapists and acupuncture to build an innovative clinical model that prioritises efficient patient outcomes & practitioner experience. Fulfilling their mission to recreate the multi-disciplinary, integrative care model of an elite training room, BIOMECHANICA is a bespoke sports injury clinic established to deliver the same elite level clinical skills and experience offered to the best athletes in the world. With thorough assessment, accurate diagnosis, and efficient injury management, our practitioners have the clinical experience to get you back to peak performance, stat. As you enter through our large original warehouse doors, you’ll be captivated by a space that has been built to balance overall wellbeing with sporting excellence. Small enough for optimal patient care & practitioner fulfilment, yet large enough for everything required for recovery, & beyond. In the heart of Balmain, we’ve been around for long enough to know what we want and what works, so we created the movement lab of our dreams. Our non-negotiables? Onsite parking (as well as close by council car parks), no stairs, a caring and proficient reception team, a long, spongy running track, a coffee station, an inviting contemporary design, well-appointed sound-proof clinical rooms & a functional movement gym. The rest was a bonus! Rather than the standard business-y approach to physiotherapy & healthcare, our philosophy is different; we have built a home base for practitioners who travel with teams & athletes for months of the year, though intermittently find themselves looking for short term work in the off-season or during transitions.
