About BioPharmaceuticals Australia Pty
BPA is an initiative of Australia’s Queensland State Government to deliver a world-class biopharmaceutical contract manufacturing facility, filling a critical national capability gap in biologic API manufacturing. BPA has contracted with DSM Biologics to operate the facility on an ongoing commercial basis and deliver tailored contract manufacturing solutions to local and international clients. BPA also strives to create synergies with local complementary service providers along the biologic drug development pipeline. BPA can facilitate access to a range of organisations to assist in taking drugs from development to the marketplace. Co-location with Brisbane’s new Translational Research Institute (TRI) means biopharmaceuticals can be discovered, developed, produced, clinically tested and manufactured in one location. The BPA initiative is also supported by the Australian Federal Government.
