About BioRep

BioRep is a Sapio Group company established in Milan in 2003, as the first private Biological Resource Centre in Italy, able to provide third parties services for biological material preservation to public and private research institutions, biotech and pharmaceutical companies, with the highest levels of quality and safety. The main facility, embadded into the Biotechnology Department (DIBIT2) of San Raffaele Hospital, one of the largest Science Parks in Europe, has reached a total storage capacity of more than 9 MLN of samples. BioRep is the first private Italian company to get the authorization from the Italian Ministry of Health to operate during Disaster Recovery Plan and for Emergency Management Plan frameworks for transplant biobanks and IVF centers. The company strengthened its position as a reference player for public, private, national and international research centers, and focused its activities on the collection, the shipment, the processing, the storage and the distribution of biological samples. This network of services is a key support for all the genetic, neurodegenerative, tumor and rare diseases research studies. Thanks to ISO 9001 certification and AIFA authorization for GMP biological material cryopreservation, we are able to ensure our customers the maximum safety for the processed and cryopreserved samples. These results have been reached through standard operative procedures, highly qualified personnel, a continuous monitoring and control allarm system operating 24 hours a day and validated backup systems (also remote) for all critical equipment.
