About Biosistemi Grupa

The company was founded in Zagreb, Croatia in 1989 under the name Analitika d.o.o., since when it acts as an exclusive distributor of Perkin Elmer, one of the leading manufacturers of analytical laboratory equipment. At the same time the focus and the activities of Perkin Elmer becomes the development and production of products in the field of molecular biology. With the acquisition of Applied Biosystems in early nineties, molecular techniques such as PCR, qPCR and sequencing are gaining more importance in life science research. At that time Perkin Elmer is being entirely devoted to the production of molecular biology products, which results in leaving the analytical equipment program. This change is also reflected in the business management of Analitika d.o.o. company, which eventually changes its name to Biosistemi d.o.o. In order to provide optimum support for customers in the Western Balkans region, Vivogen d.o.o. company is being established in 2004 in Belgrade, Serbia and shortly after that, Biosistemi Grupa d.o.o. company is gaining a license to act in the Western Balkans region as a parent business organization in the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia and Serbia. Furthermore, Biosistemi MK d.o.o.e.l. has been founded in Skopje, Macedonia in year 2010, and Biosistemi BiH d.o.o. in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina in year 2011. Following the events that occurred gradually, Biosistemi Grupa now works with and distributes famous brands such as Applied Biosystems, Invitrogen, Gibco, Ion Torrent, Oxoid, Acrometrix, LSI and others who are now reunited under the name of the new world leader in serving science - Thermo Fisher Scientific.
