Biostór is validated to GMP standards. The Quality Management System is designed to comply with applicable EU & US regulations and international standards: ISO 13485:2003. The company has been audited and approved by major US FDA regulated multinational pharmaceutical companies. Our operations are subject to stringent regulation as set down by EU Tissues & Cells Directives. In March 2008 the facility was inspected and accredited by the Irish Medicines Board (IMB) as a Tissue Establishment for the GTP storage and distribution of Human Tissues and Cells for human application throughout the 27 member countries of the EU. Biostór can cater for a wide range of sample types: Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Finished Products, Clinical Trial Samples, Donor Materials, Plasma, Serum and Body Fluids, Human Tissues and Cell Products i.e., Bone Marrow, Cord Blood & Reproductive Cells. The company currently maintains the national archive of Bone Marrow, Peripheral Stem Cells and Donor Lymphocytes for the country’s main cancer hospital. Biostór Ireland is located at Rosslare Harbour, Co. Wexford, 2km from the international Europort with fast road/ferry transit times to UK & Europe, 2 hours by road from Dublin/Cork airports with overnight courier service to all European centres. The store has a current capacity for 5 million biological samples.
