BIOVELA Group was established in 1994 by a family which sought to produce high quality meat products from locally sourced livestock. They looked to the future focusing on long-term growth over short-term profits. In a steadily growing organisation, they kept their finger on the company‘s cultural values they believed in. Today BIOVELA Group is the largest and the most innovative meat-processing company in Lithuania and one of the leading meat manufacturers in central Europe with large portfolio of fresh meat products, processed meat products and meat snacks. BIOVELA Group unites 1400 staff members and its production totals around 70,000 tons of meat products per year. The Group’s annual turnover stands at EUR 235 million. BIOVELA group focuses on responsible consumption and sustainable production. Owning a largest solar power plant in Northern Europe supports that purpose. 25% of our electricity consumption comes from renewable energy and we baldly dream to reach a complete energy autonomy in the future. Our brands are enjoyed in Europe and across the Atlantic too.
