At Biovotec we are working to shape the future of wound healing. By reducing the cost of advance wound care products, we offer an unrivaled advantage for both patients and clinicians. We believe that everybody should have access to affordable, advance wound care products. Generally the body has an amazing ability to heal itself. However, under some circumstances ulcers may form and wounds may heal slowly, becoming chronic. In these cases extensive treatment and medication are required and with a significantly increased healing time. In the worst cases healing times extend to several years and some may never truly heal. Biovotec is developing a series of next-generation, advanced wound care products based on a novel biomaterial derived from hen eggshell membrane. Thanks to a novel separation and purification process - exclusively available to Biovotec – functional biomaterials can now be produced based on native, unmodified eggshell membrane.
