Welcome to Birmingham Therapy Services, LLC, a group private practice providing mental health therapeutic services to the greater Birmingham area. Our practice stands out from others, as we utilize a nervous system-informed approach, recognizing that healing happens when the body and mind work together. We offer a framework to assess where clients are "stuck" in fight, flight, or freeze responses and provide clinical tools to assist in resolving these fixated states. Our therapies are designed to help restore nervous system regulation, reduce stress responses, and foster resilience. Whether you’re experiencing persistant anxiety and overwhelm, fatigue and exhaustion, chronic pain, automoimmune dysfucntion, and/or GI Issues linked to dysregulation, we offer tailored interventions to support your healing. Talk therapy has long been a staple for mental health treatment, offering individuals a space to talk through their thoughts and feelings with a therapist. However, more immersive therapies have emerged as powerful alternatives or complements to traditional talk therapy. We incorporate experiences such as movement, breathwork, expressive arts, outdoor activities, role playing, grounding, and mindful awareness to help clients process emotions and release stored trauma in the body and brain. We offer individual, couples, and family therapy services. We work with adolescents/teenagers (ages 13 to 19) and adults.
