About Birthplace of Hockey Museum
The Birthplace of Hockey Museum, located in Windsor, NS is dedicated to actively researching, preserving, and promoting the history of hockey. We celebrate Windsor as the birthplace of hockey by telling the story of hockey's origins and evolution, beginning in the year 1800 in the town of Windsor. The museum was founded in 1993 by the Windsor Hockey Heritage Society, who continue to work to this day to share the history of the game with Nova Scotia, and the world. The society is able to make that happen by hosting exciting fundraisers such as the Long Pond Classic, and Golf Fore! Hockey.
