Ideally situated, west of Manchester, with easy access to the UK’s major road networks, this facility was one of the first to gain a BRC Grade A Accreditation to the latest standards in January 2012. Key to our success is understanding our market place, so we strive to stay ahead of market and consumer trends, whilst ever mindful of new industry regulations. Birtwistle Catering Butchers has had four generations of the family within the business with over 100 years experience in the meat and farming industries. Our mission is to continuously provide first class quality products with an excellent standard of service, unrivalled in this very demanding industry. We have grown in to and gained this reputation by our continual efforts to stay ahead within the ever-changing foodservice industry. All products are prepared in our plant daily to each client’s specifications, packaged and labelled to and above legislation and then delivered direct throughout the UK. Our clients are very varied and including Hotels, Restaurants, and Public Houses, Independents and Groups, Education sector, Outdoor Events and Food Manufacturers. We provide national distribution via our own fleet and transport partners. AB&&S Wholesale Meats & Poultry is a wholly owned subsidiary of the group, which fully supports our catering division as well as supplying other catering butchers and retail sites throughout the UK.
