About Bivvi Camp

Bivvi Camp began in 2019, when two friends had the dream to find land in the Pacific Northwest and build a wilderness retreat for friends and family. Our inspiration arose from the backcountry huts, fire towers and yurts we’ve come across in our adventures throughout the Oregon landscape. From the Tilly Jane A-Frame on Mount Hood to the Black Butte fire watch tower, these purpose-built structures are so simple yet respond so directly to the landscape. We saw an opportunity to design a product that would provide the same experience for anyone looking to connect with their environment. When Bivvi started in 2019, the market was flooded with options for tents, yurts, and trailers. What lacked was a simple, well-designed cabin structure that was comfortable year round and didn’t involve an arduous and expensive on-site assembly process. Combining years of experience working as architects and fabricators, we set out to build a mobile cabin to serve today’s outdoor enthusiasts. Our name Bivvi is derived from the word “bivouac,” a small temporary shelter that can be easily packed and deployed in the wilderness. Bivvi embodies the same resourcefulness. Through a streamlined, sustainable design approach and collaborative work ethos, we are passionate about building quality cabins that will stand the test of time and amplify your experience outdoors.
