About Bizi

Bizi is on a mission to transform school culture by increasing student motivation, elevating student achievement, and equipping students with the financial literacy skills to excel in the real world. Teachers and schools go to great lengths to motivate students using Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) systems. However, traditional approaches to PBIS are difficult to implement consistently, resulting in limited impact. Bizi as the Solution: Bizi makes it easy by leveraging the data that teachers input in their school's Student Information System to positively reinforce students. The result? An effective, low-lift solution for teachers and a high-impact, comprehensive PBIS system for schools. Students earn automated daily direct deposits of BiziBucks for their achievements in attendance, behavior, and academics. In their Bizi banking app, students manage their earnings, track progress towards goals, and make purchases within an online school store. Our Story: Bizi was built by teachers, for teachers; by school leaders, for school leaders. Kate Fulginiti and Jack Gibson, both Teach For America alumni, met in 2018 as teacher and assistant principal in Jacksonville, Florida. Their work together continued as assistant principal and principal across two Title I schools, ultimately receiving local and statewide recognition for their immense impact on student achievement. We have always believed (and continue to believe!) in the power of positivity and the role that it plays in transforming school culture. Join us as we reimagine how schools motivate students!
