About Black Ash Outdoor Products
Black Ash Outdoor Products, LLC is the business vehicle for our premier product, The TreeStand Wingman. The TreeStand Wingman is a device invented by Wayne Bogardus for the purpose of protecting hunters who hunt out of tree stands from injuries caused by falling out of the stands. One third of all tree stand hunters WILL fall at some time. Current safety harnesses that are sold with stands and separately as add ons do not address the problem of suspension injuries, compression injuries or impact either against the harness or the ground after a fall. Often times the hunter will be stranded unable to get down to the ground or back up into the stand after a fall using traditional harness and tree straps. The resulting injuries can be devastating or deadly. The TreeStand Wingman reduces impact injuries caused when the weight of the hunter comes against the harness by 66%. The impact injuries caused by hitting the ground are virtually eliminated as are the suspension injuries because the hunter is lowered to the ground at a controlled rate of speed by The TreeStand Wingman. Black Ash Outdoor Products, LLC, will manufacture the product complete in our facility and offer it for sale online. We also have a retail store at our facility in Saegertown, Pennsylvania so hunters can stop in and purchase it directly. This is the first of a line of product designed to enhance the safety of hunters and elevate their hunting experiences to new levels.
