About Black Community Information Network

Whether it be in the workplace, within education or the UK health service, the Black British community is constantly confronted with the task of having to navigate a wide range of unconscious and conscious bias, institutionalised racism and inequality. Inequality that disrupts and threatens access to key services and opportunities beneficial to the Black British Community. It is against this backdrop that the Black Community Information Network was created. BCIN serves as an umbrella organisation supporting, informing and empowering black people within the UK to access the support they deem necessary. Our platform strives to raise the profile of and bring to the forefront initiatives, organisations and services that are positively transforming the community. Our key aims are as follows; 1. Through a comprehensive database of information & resources specifically catered to the Black British Community, we want our platform to serve as the number one choice for the Black British Community; a medium that connects the community with the great work and organisations already within the community 2. We want individuals within the Black community to have unfiltered, straightforward access to services, businesses and organisations which can develop and serve their needs 3. We want to strengthen the sense of identity and community cohesion of Black people within the UK
