About Black Creek Youth Initiative
The Black Creek Youth Initiative is a youth-led organization, that provides a safe and inclusive space for young people in the Black Creek/Trethewey neighborhood in Toronto. This Initiative was formed to address various challenges identified by young people in the community. The BCYI offers programs that provide young people with tools and resources, needed to navigate systemic barriers and improve on the physical and mental wellness of young people. The fairly recent initiative was born out of the community need to engage the young people with activities and programs that promote and build set skills through professional and experiential mentorship, leadership development, and community involvement.
