About Black Millennial Renaissance

Black Millennial Renaissance (BMR) is a network of Black Millennials and their allies fighting to end systemic racism. In the spirit of our ancestors and their fight for Civil Rights, we are answering the call of the Black Lives Matter Movement to organize, educate, and empower society to heal the wounds of slavery and the decades of discrimination and oppression that have followed. Our signature initiative is the Justice & Equity Fellowship, in which Black Millennial Renaissance gives $2,000 stipends for youth of color to take unpaid internships in government, politics, and other critical societal institutions, so they can break into these powerful spaces. This fellowship aims to arm our future leaders with knowledge, experience, and networks to be the transformational change agents we need to bring an end to systemic racism and inequity.
