A Future for Black Women in the Arts Black Women in the Arts leading and inspiring others willing to make a passionate stand for integrity and excellence A FORCE IN THE ARTS Black Women in the Arts is committed to developing policies, working practices and relationships that seek to end discrimination and promote equal opportunity. This work will happen through our educational and operational functions and will include all partners, artists themselves, and projects recognising the value of diverse cultures. Black Women in the Arts was established in November 1995 by female artists having an intention to support and promote the artistic endeavours of female artists from the African adn African Caribbean communities. Black Women in the Arts recognises that these groups locally and nationally can be isolated and under-represented within the creative industries.
