About Black Women's Wealth Alliance
We’ve made it our mission to invest in the aspirations of Black Women through our cultural education, skill-building, networking, and financial support. As a result, we’ve helped thousands of women start & grow businesses, expand their wealth mindsets & networks that foster behaviors to ignited and retained Black excellence, and we’ve invested over $3.5 million of grants and loans into Black Women capacity to build generational wealth. The Black Women's Wealth Alliance (BWWA) is a culturally specific institution that serves Black Women owned businesses, workers and students since 2014. Well known as a social impact leader in the work of Black Women & economics, BWWA is a 12-time award-winning institution that works within cross-sector partnerships to advance wealth amongst Black Women. BWWA is located within North Minneapolis and as a trusted resource we have served more than 4,500 Black Women across Minnesota, primarily within North Minneapolis. Additionally, BWWA owns many Black Woman-owned and led initiatives. We envision a healthy and holistic community of Black Women with intentional access to the vital needs and opportunities required to obtain financial stability & generational wealth that enables Black Women to support their families and communities. We believe Black Women should experience equitable land ownership, prosperous businesses, safe & healthy families, financial security and a good quality of life that supports mental, physical, emotional and maternal wellness.
