Blackbird Health offers virtual and in-person mental health services for children and young adults across Pennsylvania and Virginia, with plans to expand to new markets in 2025. Our services include comprehensive evaluations and assessments, medication management, and therapy services. Our whole-child diagnostic approach reveals the full story behind each child’s challenges, allowing us to address both the symptoms and their underlying causes. By looking at a complete picture of what is impacting a child's wellbeing, Blackbird Health provides precise care that leads to lasting, meaningful outcomes. Grounded in deep respect for each child, empathy for all parents, and compassion for every family, we help children, teens, and young adults face their mental health challenges so they can spread their wings and fly. The unique Blackbird Health assessment begins with a thorough evaluation that takes into account all factors contributing to a young person’s mental health and development—including speech and language, genetics, behavior, cognition, psychology, and more. We apply a developmental lens to every aspect of our evaluation, recognizing that mental health concerns must be understood within the context of a child’s developmental stage. This leads to more complete diagnoses and understanding of causes. Together with the family, we then create a treatment plan aligned with their goals. Once the plan is agreed upon, we match each child with the right provider and sequence care to build effectively over time. Ongoing care is at the heart of what we do. We stay closely connected with families through regular check-ins to monitor progress and make adjustments as needed, ensuring continuous growth.
