Blackgang Chine, the oldest theme park in the UK, was first opened in 1843 by the Dabell family and is still owned and run by the same family today; fifth generation, Alexander Dabell – Vectis Ventures’ Managing Director. Robin Hill, nestled in the picturesque Arreton Valley, provides high-end outdoor environments for exploration, adventure and entertainment. 88 acres of parkland, countryside and woodland are lovingly tended to by a dedicated team. We’re committed to developing the tourism offer for the Isle of Wight, by extending the season and creating more year-round career opportunities within our industry. Employing approximately 170 staff across both parks; 40 of which are full-time permanent employees, we continually invest in our teams, with internal and external training and a career development programme aimed at identifying the ‘stars’ of our future. We have a very loyal workforce and welcome back employees year after year. Many have also progressed from seasonal posts into senior permanent positions.
