Today’s clothing system based on a linear model puts pressure on resources, pollutes the environment, and creates negative social impacts. We claim a social change in the fashion industry by making circularity as one of the core values of the business. To achieve this goal, first, we have to transform how we operate internally. Start with the basics. Start with a t-shirt. The name .blacktogrey is significant in our push to a more circular economy. Black t-shirts are made using virgin materials and require large amounts of water and other resources for the growing and dyeing processes. When we recycle our garments instead, they are mixed with organic cotton or any sustainable fiber, and we get a unique grey color, dependent on how much-recycled content is included.
