B.A. Blackwell and Associates Ltd. was established in 1988 and provides integrated forestry and environmental consulting services to both government and private sector clients. The firm is based in North Vancouver and consists of four senior associates and a team of professional, technical and administrative staff. We have extensive experience and knowledge of forest and environmental management. This experience allows us to analyze, understand and solve complex business problems quickly and efficiently. We provide services ranging in scope from a short consultation to a full “turn key” venture, involving diverse clients and projects. Our staff have broad project management experience and a diverse range of backgrounds and training that enable our company to provide high quality, specialized forestry and environmental project management services. Individuals at the firm have specialist expertise in wildfire and fire management, fire behaviour modeling, risk assessment and management, silviculture, ecology, forest health, riparian management, auditing, wildlife management, urban forestry, GIS, timber valuations and forest policy. B.A. Blackwell & Associates Ltd. staff professionals include foresters, biologists, ecologists, ISA certified arborists, GIS technicians and project managers. In addition, we utilize specialists in wildlife biology, geotechnical engineering, archaeology, pathology and entomology to provide sub-consultant services as required. By using a multi-disciplinary approach to problem solving, our clients’ needs can be addressed effectively and efficiently. The company holds SAFE Company Certification from the BC Forest Safety Council and has an impeccable safety record. In addition, we hold relevant insurance policies and registrations to work in both Canada and the US.
