Nestled under the Perkins Road Overpass, BLDG 5 is more than just the fifth building on a quiet property—it's a space filled with history and character. Our front entry, reclaimed walls, and lush outdoor spaces blend past and present, creating a rustic, welcoming environment. Unique areas like the bar patio with accordion doors that open to the outdoors, a vibrant market, our private dining room, our greenhouse inspired deck, and “High 5” rooftop bar provide a perfect mix of openness and intimacy. Every corner holds a story. Owners Brumby and Misti Broussard crafted every detail of BLDG 5 to offer an inviting escape with the comfort of home. Hailing from New Iberia and Corpus Christi, they’ve lived across the U.S., gathering inspiration to shape BLDG 5’s unique character. Their story began on the Hollywood set of America’s Sweethearts, where Misti worked in production and Brumby was Julia Roberts' personal assistant, bonding over their Southern roots and shared vision for family life back home. Before opening BLDG 5, they owned a furniture and art gallery in San Diego, where Brumby’s passion for cooking flourished, reinforcing their belief in the kitchen as the heart of every home and the foundation of hospitality.
