About Block 1: Design
Block 1: Design is an independent award winning commercial interior and branding design agency. The company creates innovative spaces and branding solutions for retail, hospitality and residential clients. Block 1: Design provides full design, concept, branding and detailed drawings for every project. Our approach is to consider each design as a separate challenge, taking the brand and the architectural language of the space into consideration regardless of scale. We have extensive experience in designing high capacity, quick turnover restaurant and bar offerings. We understand the unique challenges of these environments and have utilised our experience and creativity to deliver working solutions to our clients in even the most challenging and small spaces. We know that zoning and layout are key to the successful operation of Grab and Go offerings and have worked closely with clients to optimise customer flow and ensure the efficient running of the unit at peak times. Our approach is to consider each design as a separate challenge, taking the brand and the architectural language of the space into consideration regardless of scale. We believe that working in collaboration with our clients allows us to gain a detailed understanding of the requirements of each project. We are conscious of the environmental impact building can have; we always try to design using products that limit this effect.
