In 2000 Amalia Castro founded the groundbreaking web design firm "Blue Centaur" Blue Centaur’s approach to web site design is unique, and combines modernity with artistic style and classic taste. While not limited to the genre, Blue Centaur is now responsible for some of the best and most visited equestrian sites to date. Amalia was born in Bogota, Colombia, where she was educated in French, English and Spanish in the illustrious Swiss Boarding school Helvetia. She then went on to receive an under graduate degree in Fine arts and Psychology, followed by masters degrees in journalism and communication. Amalia began her professional career as the Academic Secretary of the art department at the University Los Andes in Bogota; followed by a professorship of Art History at the University Politecnico Gran Colombia; and Art Director and Journalist for the influential medical publication “Registro Medico”. Amalia now lives in Ocala Florida.
