About Blue HOPE Support Services
Blue HOPE is a unique not for profit organisation that provides support services to current and former police officers and/or their families who are experiencing mental health issues. Blue HOPE is staffed by people with policing experience who speak with clients who are reaching out for help, and with their permission, case manage their needs by coordinating professional support. Fiercely independent to all police organisations, Blue HOPE is built on a foundation of trust, catering to those individuals reluctant to turn to internal supports. Speaking with another human being who understands police culture has proven pivotal in building the necessary trust that proves foundational in coordinating services for clients. Blue HOPE has launched our anonymous hotline - 1300 00 BLUE - to provide a police specific phone service for police officers and their families. Initially, this service is available in Queensland only, however once sufficient funding is obtained this service will be expanded nationally. Blue HOPE provide an anonymous, confidential, alternate support for current and former police officers and their families throughout Australia.
