Founded in 2011, Blue Moon Ballroom is a full-service dance studio. Led by Ballroom dance instructor and owner Jim Williamson, the ballroom offers lively group classes and private lessons in all the popular smooth and rhythm social dances—Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba, Salsa, East Coast Swing, Cha-Cha, Samba, Bolero, American Tango, Mambo, Merengue—as well as Carolina Shag. Come find your dance! Wedding dances are among our specialties. Our dance parties often feature a live band. Annual parties include our Swing in the New Year, Hearts & Jazz (Valentine's Day), Once in a Blue Moon (whenever a real Blue Moon is on the astronomical calendar), and March Madness. In addition, we hold monthly dances on First Fridays—everyone is welcome.
