Blue Planet is a non-profit organization with an established goal to develop and implement a feasible model for sustainable village development hinging on Affordability, Liveability, and Sustainability through biophilic design for the built environment. The ethos of our initiatives lies in a long term engagement with the community. By becoming a platform to create awareness and a medium for collaboration between the end-users and the innovators in the field of sustainable design and innovative building technology, we strive to develop every village through ad-hoc strategies for its unique requirements. Blue Planet is actively involved in initiatives for creating awareness about sustainable design and capacity building through training & real-life implementation. We engage in the dissemination of design knowledge and technical expertise of reliable and progressive construction practices by conceptualizing, curating and conducting interdisciplinary workshops, residencies and training programs all over India. Our main focus is to propagate a sustainable approach integrated into various building systems, for both the built and the unbuilt environment to ensure better liveability. The creation of this knowledge-sharing and collaborative platform aims to synergize and galvanize the combined efforts of academicians and industry experts to bring about an incremental change in the mindset and attitude of professionals and help them the transition from ‘business as usual’ to ‘best in practice’.
