About Blue Sky Community Healing Centre
We're a Thunder Bay charity, practicing unity and blue sky thinking. Blue Sky provides Indigenous Worldview Training also known as cultural sensitivity and cultural diversity coaching entitled ‘One Tribe’ in a factual and interactive way in a comfortable environment to learn and exchange inspiring ideas. The mandate of Blue Sky is to be inclusive providing a safe and welcoming environment for every one of every ethnic background and all ages as described in our vision, mission and core values: VISION Creating a community where individuals are true to themselves and accepting of each other. MISSION Create a safe and comfortable gathering place to share and exchange teachings that promote spiritual, physical, emotional and intellectual well-being. CORE VALUES We will emphasize patience and non-judgmental relationships between people by practicing the seven sacred teachings: love, respect, courage, honesty, wisdom, humility and truth. Ozhaawashko-giizhig Traditional Teaching Lodge, operating as Blue Sky Community Healing Centre is a recognized Cultural and Spiritual service provider and has evolved from their Vision to Mandate: • The vision received was to promote unity and to foster love, kindness, caring and sharing • The organization was founded October 11 2005, became a non-profit organization on September 15, 2006 and registered as a charity September 19, 2014 • Blue Sky’s direction as a teaching lodge follows the medicine wheel foundation and the promotion of holistic practices Blue Sky is currently in the process of applying for accreditation through the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). Watch for updates as we work through this process. In the future, Blue Sky will be offering webinars and a train-the-trainer series to assist industry, government and organizations to improve productivity in the workplace and increase sales.
