Blue Star is part of Bodwé Professional Services and Mno-Bmadsen, a wholly owned instrumentality of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi. Bodwé Group provides architecture and engineering services, as well as a multitude of federal support services, for clients nationwide. Blue Star Integrative Studio, LLC (BSIS) is an interdisciplinary design practice offering a broad range of quality design services. We are a Tribally Owned, Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise (ISBEE) company, working as partners with tribal, city, county, state, and federal governments, and public, private, and non-profit organizations and institutions. We are experts at smart community building. We believe every space and place holds the power to foster community and culture. For us, the question is not how to apply identity, but how to integrate cultural experience. Community authorship, culturally-attuned references, and involvement by many – from client staff to youth to elders – all help foster self-determination by allowing communities to control and shape their future. This results in distinctive and beautifully designed master plans, project sites, and built structures.
